Astronomers have recently discovered this image of the Eye of Sauron, staring back at us from 43 million light years away, surely signaling the end of this Age here on Actual-earth.
This is actually a supermassive black hole sitting at the center of galaxy NGC 4151. It’s one of the closest galaxies where we can clearly observe an actively growing black hole. You can read more about what’s happening in the photo over at The Daily Galaxy.

Stubby the Rocket is the mascot of Tor.com and helped Space Frodo escape its own forces on the planet Henneth Annun. Because it’s so wise and pretty like that.
Three rings for Uranas, stuck on his side.
Seven Rings for Neptune, cold and alone.
Nine rings for Saturn, whom we all abide.
One Ring for Jupiter, as its been shone.

One ring to bring them all and in the coldness bind them.
In the land of Oortclouds, where comets lie.

clever!
Do not fear people of middle earth. I have the ring! Join me and we shall destroy it!… wait… 43 million light years is kinda long way don’t you think?
But, Frodo, we can call the Eagles! No, not the actual Eagles, the new hyper-fast robotic Eagles that can travel through space!
i think this time Sauron will get frodo and i will get ring,…
